The British Land Company PLC announces that it has purchased the principal amounts set out below of its First Mortgage Debenture Bonds. The purchased First Mortgage Debenture Bonds will be held by it pending resale or cancellation, as it may decide.

£11,150,000 of the 6.75% First Mortgage Debenture Bonds due March 2011

£30,116,000 of the 6.75% First Mortgage Debenture Bonds due March 2020

£9,846,960 of the 5.357% First Mortgage Debenture Bonds due March 2028
