                        Purchase by Employee Share Trust


The Company has been notified that the Braemar Shipping Services plc Employee
Share Option Plan (the 'ESOP') acquired 30,000 ordinary shares in the Company on
9 January 2008 at a price of 441.1 pence per share.  Accordingly, the ESOP now
holds 610,014 ordinary shares in Braemar Shipping Services plc, representing
2.96 per cent. of the Company's current issued ordinary share capital.
