The anticipated date for expiry of the tender offer for the outstanding shares
of Lindberg should have read '17 January 2001' and not '17 February 2000' as
previously shown.

Bodycote is pleased to announce that it has now received
clearance under the provisions of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act
for the proposed acquisition of Lindberg Corporation
('Lindberg').

The tender offer for the outstanding shares of Lindberg is
currently anticipated to expire on 17 January 2001.
