Putnam Investment Management, LLC and The Putnam Advisory Company, LLC of
Boston, Massachusetts (together 'Putnam') notified the company on 24 October
2002 that, following a sale of shares on 18 October 2002, it had reduced its
holdings in the company to 4,839,815 shares representing 1.88% of the issued
share capital and that, as a consequence, it no longer held a material interest
in the company.
