AGM TRADING STATEMENT

Commenting at the Group's Annual General Meeting, Dr Bruce Farmer, Chairman,
delivered the following statement:

'Trading so far this year has met the Group's expectations and is ahead of
last year in spite of weakness in the telecommunications market.

The performance of Lindberg, acquired earlier this year, is meeting
expectations and the integration is proceeding well.


We look forward to the remainder of the year and beyond with confidence.'
