COVID-19 Update

 

BlueRock Diamonds plc, the AIM listed diamond mining company, which owns and operates the Kareevlei Diamond Mine in the Kimberley region of South Africa ("Kareevlei"), notes the announcement by the South African Government that the National Coronavirus Command Council has decided to enforce a nation-wide lockdown for 21 days with effect from midnight on Thursday 26 March 2020. This will include closure of the Company's Kareevlei mine during this period.

 

The Company also reports that due to an absence of international bidders, the Company removed its products from the March 2020 diamond tender.

 

The situation in respect of Covid-19 is an evolving one and the Board will review the impact on business and provide further updates in due course including in respect of its forward guidance.
