                    DEALINGS BY DIRECTORS


The Company was today informed that Mr D A C Reynolds, whose
resignation as a director of the Company (as announced on 12
August  1999) is effective from today, yesterday sold 50,000
ordinary  shares  of 5p each ('Ordinary  Shares')  at  417p.
Following this transaction, Mr Reynolds is now interested in
230,395 Ordinary Shares, representing 1.74 per cent. of  the
current issued share capital.
