            APPOINTMENT OF NEW BOARD MEMBERS


Following the recent successful acquisition of A&C  Black
plc,  Bloomsbury  Publishing Plc, has  appointed  Charles
Black,  the chairman and joint managing director  of  A&C
Black,  and Jill Coleman, the joint managing director  of
A&C Black, to the Board of Bloomsbury. These appointments
should  ensure the continuity of management and operating
style of the recently acquired company.
