MERRILL LYNCH WORLD MINING TRUST PLC

Following the Annual General Meeting of the Company which was held today, we are
pleased to announce that all the resolutions put to shareholders were passed,
including the annual vote that the Company continue in existence as an
investment trust.


Under listing rule 9.31(b) a copy of the resolutions has been submitted to the
UK Listing Authority and will shortly be made available via the UKLAs Document
Viewing Facility, which is situated at:

The minimum number of proxy votes received in favour of the resolutions was
89.7%.
