Beazley plc Directorate Changes

Dublin, 7 December 2010

Beazley plc announces that Rolf Tolle has been appointed as a non-executive director and Adrian Cox as an executive director, both with effect from 6 December 2010. 

In June 2010 Mr Tolle joined the board of Beazley Furlonge Ltd, the Lloyd's managing agency which forms part of the Beazley Group.  He retired as franchise performance director at Lloyd's in December 2009 after seven years in the role.  Before that he served as chief underwriting officer of Faraday Group, General Re's Lloyd's insurance and reinsurance operation.  Mr Tolle has been appointed to the audit committee, also with effect from 6 December 2010. 

Mr Cox joined Beazley in 2001 and was appointed to the board of Beazley Furlonge Ltd and head of the specialty lines division in June 2008. 

The company also announces that Ken Sroka, who was appointed as a non executive director in November, has been appointed to the remuneration committee with effect from 6 December 2010.

Beazley chairman Jonathan Agnew said:  "I am delighted to welcome both Rolf and Adrian to the Board of Beazley plc.  Rolf brings long underwriting experience and deep knowledge of the global insurance market.  Adrian is head of Beazley's largest division and his extensive knowledge will further strengthen the board."

Beazley plc has been notified that there are no details to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules in respect of Messrs Tolle or Cox.
