REPURCHASE OF SHARES

The Board of Baronsmead VCT 2 plc announces that on 22 July 2002 the Company
purchased for cancellation 35,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price of 89.5p.


Following this purchase there are now 40,981,575 ordinary shares of 10p in
issue.
