REPURCHASE OF SHARES

The Board of Baronsmead VCT 2 plc announces that on 9 November 2001 the
Company purchased for cancellation 125,000 ordinary shares of 10p at a price
of 92.00p.

Following this purchase there are now 40,559,102 ordinary shares of 10p in
issue.
