PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 22 August 2000, the Company
purchased 80,000 shares for cancellation, at a price of 150.50 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 202,453,123 shares in issue.
