PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 8 May 2000, the Company purchased
366,951 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 141.38 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 207,452,911 shares in issue.
