PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 17 January 2000, the Company
purchased 223,083 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 149.25 pence
per share. Following the purchase, there are a further 216,656,376 shares in
issue.
