PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 18 October 1999, the Company
purchased 195,039 shares for cancellation, at a price of 136.90 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 222,896,831 shares in issue.
