PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 27 October 1999, the Company
purchased 157,490 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 138.61 pence
per share. Following the purchases, there are a further 221,880,125 shares in
issue.
