Reduction in Management Fees

The Board of Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC is pleased to announce a reduction in the annual management fee payable to Baillie Gifford & Co, the Company's Managers and Secretaries. With effect from 1 April 2013 the annual management fee will be reduced from a flat rate of 1% of net assets to a rate of 0.95% on the first £50m of net assets and 0.65% on the remaining net assets. The fees are calculated and paid on a quarterly basis.
