Appointment of Director

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Falconer as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 8 July 2014. 

Mr Falconer worked for Martin Currie Investment Management Ltd, from 1979 until his retirement in 2003.  Between 1982 and 1987, he was head of the Firm's Japanese Equity but spent most of his career as head of sales and marketing.  

He is currently Chairman of Impax Asset Management Group plc, Adelphi Distillery Ltd, Rain Dance Investments Ltd and three funds managed by Rays Capital Partners in Hong Kong, Asian Equity Special Opportunities Fund, Asian Opportunities Absolute Return Fund and Aquarius Fund. He is also a Non-Executive Director of The China A Share Fund.  From 2004 to 2013 he was Chairman of Aberdeen New Thai Investment Trust plc. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. 

At 8 July 2014, Mr Falconer had a beneficial interest of 44,250 shares in the Company.

There is no further information required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.

The appointment of Mr Falconer falls to be ratified by Shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of the Company to be held on 26 November 2014.
