Issue of Equity

The Board of Baillie Gifford European Growth Trust plc (the "Company") announces that the Company has issued 500,000 ordinary shares of 2.5p each, fully paid from Treasury, on 9 February 2021, in order to meet ongoing market demand.  These shares were issued for cash at a price of 146.50p and at a premium to the prevailing net asset value.

As a result of this issue, the total number of ordinary shares in issue is 363,949,330 (excluding the remaining 38,494,360 shares held in Treasury).

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
