WITAN PACIFIC INVESTMENT TRUST PLC (the 'Company')

Buy-back of own securities

The Company announces that it has today bought back 165,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each in the capital of the Company (SEDOL: 0365602 / ISIN: GB0003656021)), representing approximately 0.25% of the issued Ordinary share capital, at a price of 127.4242 pence per Ordinary share.

The Ordinary shares bought back today are to be cancelled and, following cancellation there will be 66,486,968 Ordinary shares and Total Voting Rights remaining in issue.
