Appointment of Director

The Board of Witan Pacific Investment Trust plc announces that it has agreed to appoint Mr Dermot McMeekin as a non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 May 2012.  Mr McMeekin is a qualified lawyer and former Partner in Trower Still & Keeling (now called Trowers & Hamlins) who for much of his life has been a senior International Strategy Consultant, having spent nearly twenty years in the Asia Pacific region, including seventeen years based in Singapore.

Mrs Gillian Nott, Chairman, said "Dermot brings almost twenty years' experience of working with major companies in the Far East and I am delighted that he will be joining the Board".

The Company confirms that there are no matters under UKLA Listing Rules LR 9.6.13 (2) - LR 9.6.13 (6) requiring disclosure.
