Intermodal Resource Plc 03 July 2006 3rd July 2006 Intermodal Resource plc Axis secures 2 new contracts with major logistics providers Axis, the German subsidiary of the contract hire and maintenance management group Intermodal Resource plc, announces that it has signed contracts to supply additional swapbodies to DHL and General Logistics Systems (GLS), with a combined value of £250,000. DHL, a market leader in international express, overland transport and air freight, has ordered 250 swapbodies to be supplied over a 9 month period commencing from August in addition to an existing contract for the supply of 180 units GLS, one of the European leaders in parcel and express services, has ordered 100 extra units on a 12 month contract also commencing from August in addition to the 20 units already supplied by Axis. Axis has also been appointed to oversee maintenance during both contracts. Chief Executive, Robert Montague commented: 'We are delighted that we are putting business through at these levels and that the quality of our product and customer service as well a recovering German economy is leading to demand for extra equipment.'
