British Empire Securities and General Trust plc announces that the rate of interest (gross of income tax) on its Equities Index Unsecured Loan Stock 2013 for the quarter ended 31 March 2009 is 2.4400 pence per unit, equivalent to £24.40 per 1,000 units of stock.

The record date for the payment is 31 March 2009 and the interest will be paid on 9 April 2009.
