Transaction in Own Shares

Aurora Investment Trust  plc announces  that it has  today, 19  March
2008, purchased 175,000 of its own  ordinary shares in the market  at
159.9p per share.  These shares will be cancelled.  In addition,  the
Company is  cancelling a  further 19,445  shares previously  held  in
Treasury, in order  to maintain  the correct  balance between  shares
held in Treasury and the total in issue.

Following the cancellations, the Company's issued share capital  will
be 14,641,388 ordinary shares.  A  total of 1,464,138 shares will  be
held in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of ordinary shares with
voting rights in the Company will be 13,177,250.
