Edinburgh Dragon Trust plc ('the Company') and Aberdeen Asset Management Asia
Limited ('Aberdeen') announce that Jeremy Whitley, the Company's named portfolio
manager, has decided, for personal reasons, to return to Edinburgh after three
years in Singapore.  He will join Aberdeen Asset Management's global equity team
in September 2007.



Going forward, the Company's portfolio will continue to be managed from
Singapore by Hugh Young and Aberdeen's Asian equity team.  Under Hugh's
direction, Aberdeen has established a disciplined and team-based investment
process, drawing upon the fundamental analysis of individual companies.  The
portfolio management style of the Company will remain the same.



The Board wishes to place on record its appreciation of Jeremy's work on behalf
of the Company since he took over as portfolio manager in September 2002.
