                    Interim Report and Financial Statements

London, 11 September 2007

Antofagasta plc (the 'Company') will post today to shareholders its 2007 interim
report and financial statements ('Interim and Financial Statements') which were
released through the RNS on 29 August 2007.

Two copies of the Interim Report and Financial Statements have been submitted to
the UK Listing Authority and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK
Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility, which is situated at Financial
Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, London E14 5HS. These documents will
also be available on the Company's website at www.antofagasta.co.uk.
