ANDREWS SYKES GROUP PLC

Cox Plant Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Andrews Sykes Group plc, has
today commenced the employee consultation process in relation to the proposed
sale of its general plant hire business and assets, the sale negotiations now
being at an advanced stage.

A further announcement in relation to the proposed disposal will be made in due
course.
