Andrews Sykes Group plc has today been notified by the Trustee that  the
1998  Employee Share Ownership Plan has today purchased a further 10,000
Ordinary  20p  shares at 145p per share.  Following  this  purchase  the
holding  of  the Employee Share Ownership Plan is 140,000  Ordinary  20p
shares representing 0.163% of the Company's issued share capital.

The following directors are potential beneficiaries under the scheme and
therefore are deemed to have acquired a non-beneficial interest in these
shares.
