PURCHASE OF OWN SECURITIES

The Company announces that on 4 January 2012 it purchased 707,039 ordinary shares for cancellation. The price paid was 96.86p per ordinary share.

Following the cancellation of these shares there are 27,157,263 ordinary shares in issue.
