Dividend Declaration

Alliance Trust PLC announces the declaration of a first interim dividend for the year ending 31 December 2012 of 2.3175 pence per share, payable on 2 July 2012 to shareholders on the register on 8 June 2012. The ex-dividend date is 6 June 2012.

The dividend is in line with that indicated in our Annual Report and Accounts for the period ended 31 December 2011. In the absence of any unforeseen developments, the Board expects to be able to recommend further quarterly interim dividends of the same amount payable on or around 1 October 2012, 31 December 2012 and a fourth interim dividend of at least that amount, payable on or around  2 April 2013.
