The Alliance Trust PLC

The Alliance Trust PLC announces that its subsidiary financial services company,
Alliance  Trust Savings Limited (ATS), has completed the acquisition of Wolanski
& Co. Trustees Limited and its SIPP and SSAS pensions administration business.

ATS  is owned by The Alliance Trust PLC (75%) and The Second Alliance Trust  PLC
(25%).
