Appointment of New Director

Following the successful completion of the merger with Dunedin Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC on 8 October 2018, Standard Life UK Smaller Companies Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Alexa Henderson as an independent Non-Executive Director, with effect from 8 October 2018.

Alexa is currently a Non-Executive Director of F&C UK Real Estate Investment Limited and JP Morgan Japan Smaller Companies Trust Plc and has chaired the audit committee of each of these companies. In addition, Alexa is a Non-Executive Director of James Walker (Leith) Limited and Bravura Solutions Ltd.

Ms Henderson holds a BSc in Economics and Accounting from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Her previous directorships include Scottish Building Society, Adam & Company Group PLC, and Dunedin Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC.    

In accordance with the terms of the merger, Ms Henderson's beneficial holding of 5,051 Ordinary Shares in Dunedin Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC will convert into 2,942 Ordinary Shares in the Company.

There are no other disclosures required under Section 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
