Brindle, a Non-Executive Director, purchased, on 9 August 2006, 1,116 shares in
the Company at a price of 345p per share.

Mr I Brindle's total shareholding subsequent to the purchase above is 3,337
shares representing 0.013 % of the issued share capital of the Company.
