US$270,000 AIS Class B Module Order Received
Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company") is pleased to announce
that it has received a new order worth US$270,000 for AIS modules destined for
the market created by the recently announced Turkish AIS mandate.
The mandate requires approximately 15,000 commercial vessels to fit a
customised AIS transceiver prior to December 2011. The objective of the mandate
is to improve maritime safety and security.
SRT has formed agreements with strategic local partners who use SRT's range of
AIS modules to locally manufacture AIS transceivers which meet the local
specification.
Simon Tucker, SRT CEO said, "Following the commencement of the mandate in
January, we have seen regular orders for our AIS modules and we expect this to
continue over the next 18 months."
