Serco Group plc (the "Company") - Director/PDMR Shareholding

In light of the guidance issued by the FSA on 9 January 2009 in relation to the
disclosure obligations of Directors in respect of the use of shareholdings as
security, the Company announces that on 16 August 2006 Christopher Hyman, Chief
Executive, granted security to his bank over 85,564 ordinary shares in the
Company in which he has a beneficial interest (such shares being held in the
name of his spouse).

Mr Hyman remains, through his spouse, the beneficial owner of the shares.
