Oxford Instruments plc has been notified today, pursuant to Section 198 of the
Companies Act 1985 that following the purchase of 75,252 shares Fleming
Mercantile Investment Trust Plc (FMIT) now has a material interest in our
Company. Following this purchase FMIT has increased its shareholding from 2.96%
to 3.11% of the issued share capital.
