Transaction in Own Shares - CORRECTION

FIDELITY JAPAN TRUST PLC

The issuer advises that the following replaces the transaction in own shares announcement released on 20 April 2023 at 14:12:15 under Release Reference number PRNUK-2004231411-59DF.  The price the shares were bought back at is 173.75 pence per share and not 153.75 pence per share as previously announced. All other details remain unchanged.  The full amended text appears below.

TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

The Board of Fidelity Japan Trust PLC ("the Company") announces that on 20 April 2023 the Company bought into Treasury 50,000 of its own shares at a price of 173.7500 pence per share. 

The Company's issued ordinary share capital is 136,161,695 of which 6,937,636 shares are held in Treasury, which attract no voting rights.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is now 129,224,059.

The above figure (129,224,059) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FCA’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
