Capita preferred bidder for Barnet joint venture

20 May 2013 Capita preferred bidder for Barnet Council's development and regulatory services contract Capita plc can confirm that it has been selected as preferred bidder to enter into a joint venture with the London Borough of Barnet to deliver development and regulatory services, subject to the Council's Cabinet approval. The contract is expected to be worth approximately £154m over 10 years and is scheduled to commence on 1 October 2013. Development and regulatory services includes highways management, planning and development and regeneration and regulatory services, including environmental health and trading standards. The contract will be delivered by Capita's property and infrastructure business. Further details will be issued following the Council's due process, as appropriate.
