Exercise of Warrants

BLACKROCK WORLD MINING TRUST PLC

The Company announces that it is making an application to the UK Listing
Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the admission to the Official List
of 1,313 ordinary shares arising on exercise of warrants. These shares will be
allotted with effect from 3 March 2009.

The Company further announces that it has now applied to the UK Listing
Authority and London Stock Exchange for the listing of the 8,946,292 remaining
warrants to be cancelled.
