Statement re Application for Admission

BlackRock North American Income Trust plc ("the Company")           

12 December 2012

An application has been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock
Exchange for the listing of 650,000 ordinary shares of one pence each pursuant
to the general corporate purposes.

The shares will, when issued, rank pari passu with the existing shares of the
Company.
