Tender Offer

The Board of BlackRock Commodities Income Investment Trust plc announces that
it has consulted its broker UBS regarding the possible forthcoming tender offer
as at 31 August 2008. The Board has accepted that it is not in the interests of
shareholders to implement the next tender offer having considered the average
discount in the financial year to date and investor appetite for a tender at
this time.

The Board will continue to monitor the level at which the shares trade relative
to net asset value.
