Dividend Declaration

Alliance Trust PLC announces declaration of a third interim dividend of 1.9
pence per share payable on 31 January 2008 to shareholders on the register on 4
January 2008. The ex-dividend date is 2 January 2008.

This dividend is in line with that indicated in our Annual Report and Accounts
for the year ended 31 January 2007.
