Slough Estates plc's Chairman, Sir Nigel Mobbs

Slough Estates plc announces that following further tests, it is clear that Sir
Nigel Mobbs' illness is more serious than originally thought.

The good wishes and thoughts of everyone at Slough Estates are with Sir Nigel
and his Family.

Paul Orchard-Lisle has assumed full responsibility as Chairman.
