TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 20 July 2012 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

13,243 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share.

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total 5,170,933 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 496,905,073 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
