Zinc Wins $6m Entertainment TV Series in the Middle East

Zinc Media Group plc (AIM: ZIN), the award-winning television, brand and audio production group, is pleased to announce that it has been commissioned to produce a major television series in the GCC, with a contract value of $6m.  The commission is expected to be recognised fully in the current financial year, with international distribution rights generating additional revenue over the longer term.

The series is one of the longest-running entertainment formats in the Arab world, with significant reach across the Middle East and wider Arab diaspora. Now entering its 18th season, the show follows inventors and entrepreneurs as they develop ideas with the potential to change lives and impact the world, combining innovation, entrepreneurship and competition.

Zinc has been brought in to lead a full creative reset of the format, refreshing its storytelling and studio experience through the integration of AI technologies and broadening its entertainment appeal for a new generation of viewers.

The series will be produced in both Arabic and English, with Zinc Distribution handling international sales and Zinc also overseeing the digital communications strategy, delivering a multi-revenue-stream engagement spanning production, distribution and marcomms.

The commission marks a significant strategic step for the Group. It establishes Zinc as a producer of premier long-form entertainment formats in the region. This builds on Zinc's 20-year track record of production through The Edge in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, alongside its more recent expansion into long-form content and events, which drove 70% Middle East turnover growth in FY25. The win materially supports Zinc's stated ambition to double its Middle East turnover over the next three years.

Mark Browning, CEO of Zinc Media group, said:

"This is a landmark commission for Zinc. The series is one of the most recognised entertainment formats in the Arab world, with cultural reach across the region and the global Arab diaspora. Winning it reflects what's possible when we bring the full firepower of the Zinc Group to the biggest opportunities in our priority markets. It is a strong proof point for our Middle East growth strategy and for Zinc's ability to compete and win at the top end of international entertainment production."
