YORKSHIRE BUILDING SOCIETY ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Yorkshire Building Society has announced the appointment of James Mack as its new Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, subject to regulatory approval.

With over 20 years' experience in financial services, he is currently Chief Executive Officer at John Lewis Money and previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Barclays UK and Aldermore as well as senior roles at The Co-operative Banking Group and Skipton Building Society. He is also Senior Independent Director and chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of LSL Property Services plc.

Susan Allen, Chief Executive of Yorkshire Building Society, said: "We're looking forward to welcoming James to the Society.

"His skills, experience and understanding of member-owned organisations will be of huge value as we continue to invest in our future and grow sustainably.

James is due to take up the role at the beginning of 2027. The Society announced in July that Lyndon Horwell, Group Treasurer, will serve as Interim Chief Financial Officer from 1 October.
