Board Succession - Appointment of Chairman Designate
25 September 2026
Wynnstay Properties PLC (AIM:WSP) is pleased to announce that following a recruitment process using a specialist external recruitment firm, Forrester & Partners, which considered both existing Directors and external candidates, the Board has appointed Hugh Ford as Chairman Designate.
The appointment takes effect from 30 September 2026, the start of the second half of the Company’s current financial year, and he will succeed Philip Collins as Chairman with effect from 26 March 2027, the commencement of the Company’s next financial year.
Hugh Ford and Philip Collins will work together over the coming six months to ensure an orderly transition and handover. During this period further Non-Executive Directors will be appointed to the Board through a recruitment process using Forrester & Partners as part of the Board’s ongoing succession planning. Announcements will be made as appointments are confirmed.
Commenting on his appointment, Hugh Ford said:
“I am very pleased to have been appointed Chairman Designate of Wynnstay Properties. Philip Collins has provided outstanding leadership to the Company over many years, during which it has made significant and consistent progress. I look forward to working with my fellow Board members and the management team to build on the strong foundations established under Philip and to continue the Company’s disciplined approach to growth, investment and capital management, creating long-term value for shareholders.”
Outgoing Chairman, Philip Collins, added:
“I am delighted with the successful outcome of this competitive process, resulting in Hugh’s appointment. He has made a substantial contribution to Wynnstay as a Non-Executive Director since his appointment to the Board in March 2023. His listed PLC background and his experience of the real estate sector, including in financial and treasury functions, have been invaluable in our Board discussions. I am confident that he will prove to be a very effective Chairman in leading Wynnstay forward through the next stage of its development.”
