                               WORKSPACE APPOINTS

                           NEW NON-EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

Workspace Group PLC ('Workspace' or 'the Company'), the leading provider of
flexible business accommodation to small and medium sized enterprises ('SMEs')
in London and the South East, announces that Phillip Rhodes, the current
Non-Executive Chairman has decided to retire as Chairman of the Company to
concentrate on a new business venture. Phillip has been a non-executive director
of the Company for 10 years and, Chairman for the past three. Phillip will
retire from the position of Chairman on 19 November 2002, remaining on the Board
as a non-executive director until 31 December 2002, when he will retire from the
Company.

Tony Hales has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman with effect from the 19
November 2002. Tony is currently Chairman of the NAAFI Ltd and a Non-Executive
Director of Reliance Security Group plc and Aston Villa plc. Previous
directorships in public quoted companies within the last five years were Chief
Executive of Allied Domecq plc and as Non-Executive Director of HSBC Bank plc.

Harry Platt, Chief Executive commented

' Phillip's contribution to the business has been outstanding and I thank him
for all his efforts during his period as a non-executive Director with us. We
wish him well in the future with his other business interests.

experience and will be a great asset to Workspace going forward.'

Commenting on his appointment, Tony Hales said

' Workspace has an excellent record of building shareholder value based on a
proven business strategy and a highly experienced and first-class team led by
Harry Platt. I look forward to being part of the next stage of growth.'

The Company can advise that there are no further details relating to the
appointment of Mr Antony Hales which it is obliged to disclose under paragraph
6.F.2 (b-g) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
