Windar Photonics plc (AIM: WPHO), the technology group behind the LiDAR-assisted monitoring and optimisation solution for multiple wind turbine platforms, announces that Jørgen Korsgaard Jensen will step down from the Board and his role as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Non-Executive Chairman, David Lis, has been appointed Interim Executive Chairman and will lead the search to find a new Chief Executive Officer.  On a permanent basis, Søren Belmar, Chief Financial Officer, will expand his role to also now become Chief Operating Officer of the Company.

As previously announced, during 2025 Windar made significant progress, strengthening the Company's sales team, with the appointment of new Vice Presidents of Sales in the Americas and Europe, alongside significantly expanding manufacturing capacity. Accordingly, the Board believes there will be no change to the trading position of the business, and remains confident in the Company's strong growth prospects going into 2026.

David Lis, Interim Executive Chairman, said:

"We have accepted Jørgen's decision to step away from the business at this point and allow the team under new leadership to drive the process of scaling the business to fulfil its clear potential. As the founder and creative force behind Windar, Jorgen has been the catalyst for the Company's success and on behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Jørgen for all he has done.

The Board believes the Company's growth trajectory remains very positive and that the successful securing of new test project orders in North America and Germany provide a strong foundation for 2026 and beyond. The search for a new Chief Executive Officer is already underway, and we look forward to updating shareholders on our progress in due course."
